       Once upon a time, I was just like you—waking up early, heading to school and then work, daydreaming about my future, and feeling like there was something greater out there waiting for me. I didn’t have an expert to guide me, no one to answer my questions or help me navigate my dreams. All I had was hard work and determination. One day, I made a bold decision that I want to study abroad: first at Sorbonne in Paris and then at the University of Oxford. It could sound ambitious for a 16-year-old Polish girl attending a public school with no one around her speaking a foreign language, right? Well, guess what? I did it—and graduated from both with honors. Every step of this journey shaped who I am today and inspired me around 20 years later to create Edkompas—a platform to guide you on your own adventure.

       But let me be real—it wasn’t always a smooth ride. It was full of challenges, self-doubt, and a lot of figuring things out on my own. My parents and friends, who are my great supporters and an amazing source of love and strength, were always there for me. But as much as they wanted to help (and I’m forever grateful for everything they’ve done), they couldn’t possibly know how to navigate the complex university admissions process—and that’s perfectly okay!

      While I was busy finding my calling, life led me down some exciting paths. Along the way, I did internships at the French Ministry, the Polish Embassy and at the United Nations in Geneva. I won an Outstanding Leadership Award in Education in Dubai, published in two books, contributed to improving student evaluations in Cameroon arm to arm with UNESCO, and completed three humanitarian missions in Africa, teaching women and children how to read and write.

      I then spent over eight years working with top Swiss universities in admissions, starting as a counselor and growing into a director role. During that time, I spent an average of 100+ days a year in hotels, traveling the world to meet and counsel students like you, helping them find their paths to top universities. 

       My years in admissions connected me with hundreds of universities worldwide, from the most prestigious institutions to highly specialized programs. I know the ins and outs of educational systems across the globe, and there’s no country where I can’t guide you through submitting a stellar application. Seriously—no country. (Well, almost—I’m currently working on my PhD at the University of Geneva in student evaluations.)
